Republican congressional candidate David Schweikert will headline the first-anniversary meeting of the Republican Professionals Club tonight, Thursday, Oct. 9. The free event is set for 6 p.m. at 6 Lounge, 7316 E. Stetson Drive, in Scottsdale. 

It should be a good crowd for Schweikert, who is running against Democrat incumbent Harry Mitchell. More than 200 people are expected at the networking event, said GOP Pros VP Ryan Ducharme. Among those who are expected to attend are most of the Republican candidates who ran against Schweikert in the primary election, he said.
