I used to be a Republican but changed my mind during Bush’s presidency. Believe me, Republicans want Clinton or Obama to win in the primaries. They would both be easy to beat in all or most red states in a general election. If Bush won his reelection in spite of everyone knowing the war in Irag was a mistake and his low approval ratings, how can we expect Clinton or Obama to win against McCain in southern states, for example?
John Feeherty, a REPUBLICAN strategist made the following statement on MSNBC last December:

“I think we would be delighted with either Hillary or Obama. EDWARDS is the one who scares me the most because he’s a southern democrat. Southern democrats are the ones that usually win!”

I KEEP WONDERING WHAT BILL CLINTON IS GOING TO TELL PEOPLE IN ARIZONA, AFTER HE HAD DELIVERED A VALIDATORY SPEECH ON BEHALF OF HILLARY IN SOUTH CAROLINA. AMERICANS ARE NOT READY TO NURSE A PRESIDENT WHO ACCEPTS DEFEAT BEFORE RESULT. JUST AS THE CLINTONS DID IN SOUTH CAROLINA. I GUESS THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR TO THEM THAT THE PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF THE OLD SYSTEM. MAYBE ANOTHER INTERESTED WOMAN SHOULD COME UP FOR THIS OFFER.

It amazes me that Mr. Obama allegedly has a Harvard law degree and was a Constitutional law professor and does not know anything about the Constitution of the United States. Our Constitution states that the federal government derives its power from the people; if a power is not expressly stated in our Constitution, the federal government does not have that power. Yet, Mr. Obama is promising to regulate health care, education, social security, guns, etc.; none of which is permitted by our Constitution.

He is preaching hope and change yet promising more of the same - ignoring our Constitution.

I implore the citizens of the United States not to buy into the Communist agenda that Mr. Obama promises. Vote for Ron Paul who will restore Democracy. See his website at: http://www.RonPaul2008.com

These opinions are irrelevent. The only thing wrong with Obama is that he is an idealist, and that is only a fault in some cases. It does not appear to be so with him. Contrary to even his own opinion, Obama is NOT a polititions. Polititions are, by their very natures, sleazier than the lawyers that many are, and more efficient carrions than vultures, and still, these are the people that we choose to lead our country.
If you don’t support Obama, that’s fine, but please do not stoop the petty level of insulting a man who is only doing as he believes to be right.
Idealism is an attribute that can only be fully realized when put in a position of power. This, as with anything, is a risk, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
