Sen. Jon Kyl mostly has avoided interviews about his dealings in bipartisan group of senators who have been working behind the scenes for weeks trying to craft immigration reform legislation.
Kyl broke his self-imposed vow of silence on the topic Wednesday after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada announced during a press conference that the Senate would begin debate Monday on an immigration bill it passed last year.
That bill died a quick death in the House.
